Dr Dinu S Chandran

Our brilliant classmate and multi-talented singer, writer, and actor, Dr. Dinu S. Chandran, continues to make us proud every single day!

After completing his MD in Physiology from AIIMS, he is now serving as an Additional Professor at AIIMS, New Delhi. His leadership extends well beyond teaching and research—he is currently the Executive Editor of the Indian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology (2025) and a Board Member of the General Assembly of the International Union of Physiological Sciences.

A passionate academic and researcher, with numerous awards for academic excellence and research, Dr. Dinu focuses on human arterial physiology, particularly in developing non-invasive methods to detect early signs of vascular ageing. His vision is to create practical screening tools capable of identifying vascular ageing in young, seemingly healthy individuals—enabling early intervention, preventive strategies, and long-term cardiovascular wellness. He is also deeply engaged in studying how arterial wall mechanics and endothelial function are altered in different disease states.

With his dedication to research, teaching, and innovation, there is no doubt we will continue to hear of Dr. Dinu’s accomplishments and accolades on the global stage.
